Welcome to AwakeMac. By downloading, installing, or using AwakeMac, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
1. About AwakeMac
AwakeMac is a native macOS menu bar application that prevents your Mac from entering sleep mode. It is developed and maintained by an independent developer. The app is distributed through the Mac App Store.
2. License & Usage
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, AwakeMac grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple device that you own or control, in accordance with the Mac App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or modify AwakeMac
- Use the app to develop a competing product
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
3. Pro Purchases
Pro features are available as a one-time purchase of $0.99 USD. Purchases are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store. All sales are final. Please refer to Apple's refund policies for information about refunds.
4. Disclaimer of Warranty
AwakeMac IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AwakeMac and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app.
6. Clamshell Mode & Power Management
Clamshell mode requires your Mac to be connected to external power and an external display. AwakeMac uses system-level power management APIs and does not override your Mac's built-in safety protections. Using your Mac in clamshell mode for extended periods may result in elevated temperatures — use at your own discretion.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of AwakeMac after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the Mac App Store listing or by updating this page.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.
